If you’re local or passing, we provide free collection at The Smokehouse, Kendal every Friday and Saturday from 4pm  – 7pm in an effort to safely provide nourishing food to our community. Click here to get the code.

Please pre-order in advance where possible.


We are posting orders out every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and shipped via courier, we aim to ship within 3 business days. This method usually takes only 1-2 days to reach anywhere in the United Kingdom. Orders for standard courier delivery that are made after Tuesday 5pm, will be dispatched the following Monday.

In the rare instance that an item is ordered before we can update its status in the shop, it may take longer to process. If this happens, we will get in touch with you as soon as possible to keep you updated on our progress and timeline.

Once your parcel ships, you will receive an email with your tracking information. Our meat products are ice packed and cool boxed to ensure your items arrive safely chilled, even in the event of a courier delay.

 Our shipping rates are as follows: (UK mainland; zone A) (UK nationwide B, C & D incur a higher charge shipping or free shipping orders over £100 only we will contact you for additional shipping prices once the order has been made)

  1. Weekdays: £8.99 for 2.5kg or below UK mainland and central Scotland

  2. Weekdays £14.99 for packages up to 12kg UK mainland and central Scotland

  3. Free mainland UK shipping is offered on all orders over £80.  

  4. Free collections from the Smokehouse by arrangement. (24 hours notice or more)

 A contact phone number and ‘safe place’ must be provided. This is only for the couriers use in the event that your item is not delivered. Unfortunately we cannot be liable for orders lost in transit or after delivery. However, we will do our best to assist you if this occurs.

COVID-19 is placing an extra strain on courier services, and while they are unlikely, delays can occur. As a response to this, we have invested in packing your order with extra ice bags keep your product frozen in the event of any unforeseen delays. To combat this risk, we only dispatch orders Monday-Wednesday to ensure there is no risk of products being delayed and undelivered over the weekend. While there is a very small risk that your items will arrive chilled, not frozen. In this case, our smoked meats will not be able to be refrozen and instead need to refrigerated and consumed within 10 days. The quality or safety of the meats in this instance remain high and unchanged. We wish to reiterate that this is a very unlikely circumstance. We’re very sorry, but perishable food products and gift cards cannot be returned. Non-perishable items, such as t-shirts and hats, may be returned. If your food products arrived damaged or contaminated in any way, please contact us directly at 01539 898239 or email and we will do our best to resolve the problem. We reserve the right negotiate a resolution in case of a shipping delay not the fault of Pappy’s.

 To be eligible for a return for non-perishable items, these must be unused, in original packaging and in the same condition that you received them.
